COVID-19 guidance

UPDATE: The OA World Service Office (WSO) published a letter on April 22, which provides guidance on things to be considerate of during online meetings, including:

  • Holding group conscience
  • Suggested telephone meeting format
  • Being mindful of anonymity
  • Moderating online meetings
  • Sharing literature
  • Seventh tradition

We know that many in our recovery community are wondering about meetings in this interesting time. Please click here to view a letter from the WSO with guidance on COVID-19.

We understand that meetings are one of the important ways we connect. That said, OA Denver is deferring to each meeting to decide whether to continue to hold its meeting at this time. We also understand that some locations might close their spaces. If you are an Intergroup rep or meeting secretary, please reach out to your meeting location’s contact to ask whether you are still able to host the meeting at its location. If you receive notification that your meeting’s location is unable to accommodate your meeting, please email chair@oadenver.org (and include the anticipated meeting restart date if you have that information), and we will update the meeting list on the website.

OA Denver is offering our Zoom line if your meeting decides to have a virtual meeting or if the location of your meeting is closed. Please reach out to chair@oadenver.org for assistance with scheduling a Zoom meeting and if you need any support at all.

In loving service,

Central Colorado Intergroup
